Covenants and Gift Aid
St George's has been running a covenant scheme for many years and currently 60 members of the congregation have taken out covenants. This is extremely valuable as not only does it enable us to budget ahead with greater confidence but for every £1 contributed we are able to recover 28 pence in tax.
Covenants are paid either by standing order, or cheque or through the Church envelope scheme, for those who do not feel able to make a long term commitment.
Anyone wishing to take out a covenant should Gerald Worrall, the treasurer, at a service or through our contacts page.
Gift aid envelopes are available in the pews and at the back of the Church. A special wall safe near the entrance door is available for visitors to post their gift aid envelopes.
