‘Run, run as fast as you can. You can’t catch me, I’m the Gingerbread Man!’ So went the story today at Little Dragons. Everyone entered into the story and joined in with the Gingerbread Man as he escaped the clutches (& teeth) of the old woman and the old man, the horse, the cow etc before falling for the whiles of the cunning fox. Whew! – just goes to show that you shouldn’t trust any old foxes that happen to be lurking on the river banks.
I wonder how many of us spend much of time ‘running, running as fast as we can’ in order to fulfil what we see as necessary in our lives. Many of us have retired from fulltime working in many different fields stating all the things we were going to achieve, the places we were going to visit, the friends we were going to catch up with – and - have we done it? Not likely! We are all too busy chasing around trying to keep up to date with the hectic schedules we have created for ourselves.
A lesson learned by me many, many years ago is that, however, chaotic life might be one should always find time to prioritise events and also to share with others. At times, when we are busily rushing to make deadlines and wearing ourselves out, becoming (for want of a better word) frazzled, it could be that there is someone nearby who would love to take on some of our tasks or work alongside us in solving problems of time and energy. It is easy at times to become so important in our own eyes that we are certain there is no other person who can possibly understand how much we have to do nor anyone who can possibly help us out.

Just human nature we might say – not so! Share it today and find time to live and enjoy every minute!
