After all the eating, drinking and making merry we were all in need of a few Little Dragons’ sessions to assist the burning off of a few (or many) calories. Sure enough, on our first day back after the Christmas Holiday and New Year Celebrations, we all managed to do a fair amount of exercise, bending and stretching, lifting and carrying and generally using a good deal of energy.

It was a good feeling being back together although there a few spaces left by those who have gone on to school or pre-school. However, our three eldest LDs who have been with us from Day 1 are still in full flow, having arranged their pre-school days on other than Tuesdays in order to continue to attend. We are now reaping the benefit of their expertise as they gather everyone into place and assist with stories and singing.
After a break it is amazing to witness the development of our little ones. Changes over a couple of weeks are very evident, especially with those who are around 2 years of age who seem to have suddenly developed more noticeable personalities and who are ready to chat given the smallest opportunity to do so.

This need in most of us to relate to and befriend one another is one of the wonderful things about the human race. There are times in all our lives when communication may be difficult or when relationships seem to be at cross-purposes. How good it is, though, when broken-down relationships are healed, allowing the warmth of the heart and mind to seep back into every day interaction. We then may realise what we have been missing either through stubbornness or the idea that one must
‘win’ at all costs. We sometimes become obsessed with the question of ‘whose fault?’ Kahill Gibran says, “Our worst fault is our preoccupation with the faults of others!” Hmm!
