St George's Parish Visitors

In the Spring of 2006 after a period of training by our Rector, Reverend David Hewlett, we set up a group of interested volunteers, both and male and female, who will visit people out in the community as required.

We aim to cover most groups of people;  the elderly, housebound or sick; those living alone or in group dwellings or nursing homes; the bereaved, young mothers who can be isolated and newcomers to the village. 

If you do not wish to have a visit but would like to talk over a problem on the phone, that is fine.  Everyone and everything is treated in complete confidence.

Each of our volunteers is accredited and carries an identity card.
